Celico for Summit County Assessor

Innovation. Leadership. Transparency.

“I view this job as a public trust—a responsibility I owe to every resident and property owner in Summit County, each one of my staff and the good name of Summit County, Colorado.”

—Frank Celico, Assessor

I’m proud of my record as Summit County Assessor. I’m running for a second term and am seeking your support for the June 28th primary.

The Summit County Assessor’s office is responsible for establishing fair and equitable values for all taxable real and personal property.

Every sale of real estate in the county is analyzed by my staff, broken down and added to our database. The same goes for every building permit issued countywide for new construction and remodels. These numbers have been staggeringly and historically high and we’ve handled it through responsible administration, creating efficiencies in our office and encouraging a culture of customer service and transparency. Here are some highlights from my first term:

  • Completed a major technology upgrade to provide better property valuations, more efficiently, and with more transparency and information for property owners
  • Led the charge in taking “contiguous parcel” cases to the state Supreme Court in 2019, including participation in drafting 2021 legislation on the issue
  • Unprecedented public outreach effort in 2021 during the County’s reappraisal process
  • Active involvement with the Colorado Assessor Association’s Short Term Rental legislative subcommittee
  • Led annual presentations to the real estate community in partnership Land Title Guarantee
